Much love goes out to Danzuke from BitsBytesPixelsSprites — A few months ago my warranty-lacking 360 broke and I’ve been too lazy/pissed/broke to do anything about it til now. A few days ago I started the 2 week long, yet simple, process of getting it fixed/replaced for the relatively cheap price of $139. Then Danzuke, who was going through the same process at the same time, found out that Microsoft just changed their repair rules and will now fix/replace any Xbox 360 manufactured in 2005 (the date is engraved on the back of the console) for FREE! That’s right free, here’s the customer support number you need: 1-800-4MYXBOX (1-800-469-9269). And when the UPS guy comes 3 days later be sure to throw your 360 out the window at him and tell him its FREE when he has to pick up all the HD-DVDless pieces.
