News > AMD and Valve Offering Free Games Via Steam

May 31, 2007

AMD and Valve have signed an agreement that will grant owners of Radeon graphics cards some free stuff via Valve's digital distribution service, Steam.

Steampowered.com will automatically detect the presence of Radeon cards when new users sign up for the service.  The customers will then have the opportunity to download free copies of Half-Life 2: Lost Coast and Half-Life 2: Deathmatch.

Furthermore, Steam will be included with retail packages of Radeon cards through 2008.
