News > Co-op Umbrella Chronicles?

May 9, 2007

Capcom may very well have a little surprise hidden within Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles for the Wii.  The game has been surrounded by an air of disappointment since it was revealed to be an on-rails shooter, rather than a full-fledged Resident Evil sequel.  Now, there is new hope for the title.

Official Nintendo Magazine UK got the chance to play the game at length, and noticed that most of the game is played in a co-op setup with an AI partner.  Could this mean that the final game will include a cooperative play mode?  It's not all that far-fetched to believe, and Capcom has neither confirmed NOR DENIED such an option.  If it is, in fact, included, the co-op mode would have to be split-screen to allow for independent nunchuk-controlled points of view.

Fingers crossed...
