News > Dark Mirror Gets A Release Date...Sorta

July 11, 2007

The recently announced parkour-based FPS, Dark Mirror, has been given an official release window.  By window, I really mean one of those fully-glass walls one might find in a school cafeteria.  The game is scheduled for a "2008" release on the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3, so anywhere inside that small 365 day span is fair game.

The game, which will focus more on navigating the environment than actually shooting, is said to be like Prince of Persia meets...guns...and modern times, of course.  Senior Producer Owen O’Brien had this to say:

"We want to change the way that players are able to move in first person. No more restrictions, no more being blocked by simple barriers such as walls and fences. We want to enable the player to move like a real person, with the ability to run, jump, vault and slide in a way that has never been seen before in a first person game."

GameWad will have more as it becomes available.
