Game Developer Conference big boss Jamil Moledina believes that developers aren't jumping in with the PS3 just yet because of the system's complex hardware. In an interview with GamesIndustry, Moledina said, "A lot of the developers I know are waiting out on the first round and focusing on handhelds; they're creating DS and PSP titles because that's actually a much simpler migration from the current-gen."

Moledina also reiterated what seems to be apparent with Sony's relationship with their third party -- the company has been focusing on its first-party developers, "A lot of Sony's effort has been focused on helping first party understand how to develop games for it." However, before it seems Moledina is dealing damage to the PS3, Moledina said he expects to see the knowledge that Sony has shared with its first party developers be expanded to further include its third-party development community.
