News > DiRT Sells Half A Million In One Week

June 28, 2007

Colin McRae: DiRT has been receiving generally favorable reviews, with percentile scores averaging around 83%.  It's no wonder the game is also selling very well.

In just one week on store shelves, the game has shifted 500,000 copies worldwide - that's half a million already.  The PC and Xbox 360 demos have also been downloaded over 500,000 times.

Commented Codemasters CEO Rod Cousens, "This success with DIRT is a text-book case of our product development, marketing and distribution efforts all working together to ignite consumer interest and drive sales."  He also added that "Nearly half of our first week's sales are from the US alone, which means momentum behind this series is taking hold in new territories."

Big seller in the U.S, big seller worldwide.  And if the demo is any indication, the game is pretty enjoyable.
