Don Bluth, the original creator of Dragon's Lair, has plans to turn the game into a feature-length film. The movie already has a complete script, and steps are being taken to get the project underway.
If/when the film is made, it will be a traditionally-animated affair (that means hand-drawn, not CGI) and would tell the story of Dirk the Daring prior to the events in the video game.
I'm sure gamers would love to see this movie become a reality, and I will be hoping along with the rest.
