Although the industry has suffered something of a dearth of major competitive games beyond the original Counterstrike and Starcraft, it seems as if E-Sports are becoming big quickly in Korea at least. There is already an Air Force team there, with a Navy team still in the works, and the matches already get coverage on Cable TV.
I'd definitely start watching ESPN if they began broadcasting game tournaments.
