With the release of Prince of Persia Classic on Xbox Live Arcade, the creator the original Prince of Persia, Jordan Mechner, has been back in the spotlight. Speaking with IGN, the famed designer has hinted that he may have a few tricks left up his sleeve, and we may see one of them next year, in the form of a 2D side-scroller.
"I might be up to some more side-scrolling mischief, but it's a little too early to talk about it. Ask me again in 2008."
This is by no means a guarantee that Mechner's work will pop up again, but usually comments like this mean "yes."
