Gaming enthusiasts will get the chance to play on the bigscreen in a pilot scheme announced Monday by pan-European exhibitor Kinepolis.

The XL gaming venture will launch in Kinepolis' new complex in Bruges, Belgium, on Nov. 18 and is due to roll out across the rest of its Belgian circuit early next year.

"Gaming appears to be the fastest-growing industry in the entertainment sector. Kinepolis is now planning to combine cinema and gaming in a unique and revolutionary concept," the Brussels-based company said in a statement.

Initially the gaming theaters will be available on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons for e15 ($19) per hour.
