News > More PS3 Price Drop Confirmations

July 7, 2007

Following Sony President Ryoji Chubachi's denial that the Playstation 3 will be getting a price cut, saying that the company has "no plans" to do so, more retail outlets have confirmed just the opposite.

Besides Circuit City, whose advertising material has served as the smoking gun around the internet, now Best Buy and Target employees have both reported that inventory tracking systems as well as company advertising all place the 60 GB PS3s price point at $499 dollars, beginning mid-July.

Who to believe? I'm going with the retailers.
