Mario Party 8 has reportedly been recalled in the UK due to the inclusion of the word "spastic" in the kid-friendly party title. All copies of the game and all related advertising are to be removed from stores.
The specific instance is found on the "Shy Guy's Perplex Express" board, where a Magikoopa will spout the rhyme, "Magikoopa magic! Turn the train spastic Make this ticket tragic!"
Last month, a mother of a child with cerebral palsy complained when Ubisoft's PSP game, Mind Quiz called her spastic for not doing well. We're guessing the Mario Party 8 recall has something to do with that.
