News > Nintendo Sells Land to Microsoft

July 4, 2007

If anyone was unaware, Nintendo and Microsoft have been next-door neighbors in Redmond, Washington for quite some time.  Now, after Nintendo's partial relocation to the San Francisco Bay area, Microsoft is buying a bunch of land from the Big N.

Nintendo hasn't made any use of the lot in question so far, so as VP of marketing Perrin Kaplan said, "It's been an unused asset for some time, and it just made good business sense for us to go ahead and sell it."

Microsoft will likely hold onto the land until the company figures out a use for it.  In the meantime, it's a whole lot of free parking.
