News > Oldest competitive gamer dies at age of 81

October 23, 2006

Content taken from TheLastBoss:

Doris Self was no ordinary 81 year old grandma, she kicked ass at Q*Bert, enough to set a world record score of 1,112,300 in 1983 at the age of 58. But, unfortunately, she won't get any more chances to set records due to a recent car accident that ended her life. Hopefully her gamer spirit lives on in the after life, and there will be a LazyBoy recliner waiting for us next to her to welcome us to a Gamer's Heaven. If you knew Doris, or would like to show your respects at her funeral, you can get all of the needed details here.

Take care Doris Self, you won't be forgotten.
