News > Opera Browser on DS

June 11, 2007

The Nintendo DS browser has been out for a few days now, and comes in two different forms.  One is available in stores, and works with the DS Lite.  The other is available via Nintendo.com, and works with the original DS.

"With the DS Browser, Nintendo continues to expand the possibilities for users of this tremendously popular game platform," said Scott Hedrick of Opera Software.  "Opera is excited to work with Nintendo to bring the easy and accessible way to browse the internet to DS lovers in North America."

Opera has already brought its software to the Wii with much success, and now it is the DS's turn.  With the DS stylus as a pointing device, and the freedom to go anywhere with the handheld, the DS seems a perfect fit for the browser.
