PDC 2008 – MORE PLAYERS, MORE CHALLENGING, MORE POWER TO YOUR ELBOW!
August 7th 2007: Northamptonshire, UK: PDC World Championship Darts 2008 (for PlayStation®2, PC and WiiTM), successor to last year’s hugely popular PDC World Championship Darts, is all about more, more, more! More players, more features, more formats, more control, more AI, more realism, more fun!
The main focus of the game is the intuitive, fluid and accurate throwing dynamics, which are greatly enhanced from last year’s title and specifically tailored for each format, as opposed to direct ports. For even more authenticity, genuine darts’ physics now play a key role; for example, different barrel weights affect player’s throws. This adds greatly to the game’s overall real-world experience.
For the PS2 and PC versions, the much-improved AI has been calculated using real-life averages from all of the major tournaments, and is based on actual playing characteristics of real PDC players (their throwing styles, attitudes, quirks etc.). Responding to feedback regarding last year’s game, asking for even more realism, PDC World Championship Darts 2008 is based around an in-depth career mode, featuring the seven major tournaments in the PDC calendar, with events taking place in faithfully re-created official PDC tournament venues.
With improvements such as these, PDC World Championship Darts 2008 is set to be THE definitive darts console game of all-time!
