News > Project H.A.M.M.E.R. Canned?

June 15, 2007

Were you looking forward to a game whose main premise was to swing a giant hammer all over the place and smash the $#!% out of everything with your Wii-mote?

I was.

Now, all of our dreams may be crushed, just like all those robots and buildings and whatever else that could have been, because sources close to Nintendo say that Project H.A.M.M.E.R. may indeed be cancelled.  Why?  Because the team has moved on to one or more "expanded audience" projects.

If this is more than just a rumor, then at least a few gamers will be disappointed in Nintendo's decision-making abilities.
