id Software's Kevin Cloud has revealed that Enemy Territory: Quake Wars will NOT feature cross-platform competition. While the title will be available for the PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, console players will not be able to compete against PC players.
The reasoning behind this is obviously that a console player is not expected to keep pace with PC players, due to control limitations imposed by their gaming platform. Cloud has explained that cross platform play could be done, but he would like to see a level playing field for all gamers, and by implementing console vs. PC play, that would be very difficult.
