Although not yet 100% substantiated, recent news seems to indicate that rumble will start happening in PS3 controllers this September:
Rumble maker Immersion has announced it has entered into a partnership with gaming peripheral manufacturer Katana Game Accessories, which “will begin distributing peripherals for Sony PlayStation products in North America” in September bearing the TouchSense logo.
Sony's late settlement with Immersion, yet another way this generation was fumbled, is only now in the process of being rectified. In a few months PS3 gamers should be enjoying rumble again.
