News > SEGA Supporting Games For Windows With Earth Assault

July 2, 2007

Sega has announced that they are taking the leap, and supporting Microsoft's Games For Windows with their upcoming RTS title, Earth Assault: Universe at War

The game, developed by Petroglyph, will be available this hoiday season on the PC, and early next year on the Xbox 360.  It will allow gamers on both platforms to compete seamlessly with one another via Microsoft's LIVE service.

Said Gary Knight, European marketing director for Sega Europe, "Sega is delighted to be working with Microsoft and join them at the forefront of a new dawn of gaming.  The power of the Xbox 360 console means that games once exclusively the preserve of high-end PC gaming, are now finding a new home on console also."

An RTS where console and PC gamers compete?  Unless we get some Xbox 360 keyboards and mice, smell a massacre on the horizon.
