News > Target Discontinues GBA

June 8, 2007

According to a source close to Target, the chain is now listing the GameBoy Advance as discontinued.  Any remaining stock is to be pushed to the sales floor and sold.

The retail chain aims to be rid of the little guy by the end of June, thus making more room for the powerhouse Nintendo DS.

So, will Nintendo be following Target's lead and ceasing production of the GBA anytime soon?  With the way the DS sells, I don't see that move as detrimental in any way.
