Rumble? That's soooo last-gen.
Maybe Sony is changing its tune on a feature that has been almost omnipresent since 1997. According to, uh...rumblings...around the newsstand, the Sixaxis controller for the Playstation 3 will house rumble technology as soon as November of this year.
PSM has even gone so far as to report that the feature will be announced at E3, and will have a release date of November 13th.
Speculation as to why this late addition to the controller might occur ranges from the settlement between Sony and Immersion over rumble technology, to Hideo Kojima's desire to have it.
Either explanation makes sense, as it is possible that Sony wanted the rumble feature all along, but couldn't add it until the legal mess was cleaned. It's also possible that MGS4 means a whole lot to Sony.
Or maybe, Sony simply wised up to what gamers want.
