Ubisoft avoided developing Rainbow Six: Vegas for previous generation platforms, apparently to avoid catering to the lost common denominator. So, even though PlayStation 2 and the like won't be receiving Rainbow Six: Vegas, Ubisoft says their Quebec studio's working on a version aimed at PSP.

They aren't messing around with this version, either; the story actually runs parallel to the plot featured in the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions, but fans will experience a new team and new locations, if they happen to play both. In single-player, gamers can switching between a sniper and the typical field operative, with the ability to switch between first-person and third on-the-fly.

Additoinally, Rainbow Six: Vegas will feature not only head-to-head multiplayer via local Wi-Fi (Ad-Hoc), but also over the Internet (Infrastructure). Killer. Look for this one around the holidays.
