News > Xbox 360 Elite Launches Sunday

April 26, 2007

No, it isn't a "real" system launch, but the Xbox 360 Elite has already caused some buzz with its stylish black casing and 120Gb hard drive, so the fact that it releases on Sunday is still newsworthy.

Gamestop/EB and Best Buy have already received accessories for the system, which are not street-dated, so gamers can pick those up at any time.  As for the system itself, most stores have them stored for Sunday's launch, and expect very limited quantities.  Best Buy expects 20-25 units per store, and Gamestop has already restricted employees from purchasing the consoles.

If you're looking to score an Elite 360, I would recommend getting out there early on Sunday, because lines are certainly a possibility.
